3D Paper Flowers for Crafts ~ Coming soon to my Etsy shop!

Hi everyone!

I have been busy creating 3D paper flowers for the use of scrap booking, card making and general crafts! I thought it would be a good idea to sell my paper flowers for others to use rather than always creating pieces with them on myself.
These 3D paper flowers have been made with paper and card of all colours and patterns, and have been handpainted by me. All flowers have been coated in a thick glittery paint which makes them glimmer and harden to make them more secure.

I use my 3D paper flowers for various crafts. Card making, creating artwork on canvases, making magnets and present labels, but I am sure there’s hundreds of ways you can use them to brighten up anything! All you need to do is secure them down with a strong glue, or a 3D foam pad. Alternatively you can open up the flower and use the split pin! Simple :)

Here’s some pictures of Paper flowers which will be available in my Etsy shop soon:

My latest creations! ~

Hey everyone! Lately I have been working a lot on my artwork. Unfortunately I have been off work due to sever back pain, so I have been using my artwork to take my mind off the pain and create some new work! It can be very difficult taking my mind off the pain and how bad it can really get, and I don’t know what I would do without my artwork.

Here’s my new paintings for the new year ~ they are all available to buy on etsy, just simply click the photo to go to my shop! :)

Happy New Year….! I know it’s a bit late….

I am a month late with this ‘Happy New Year’ blog post, but since I haven’t actually posted anything in about 6 months (probably more) I thought I’d let myself off with it!

I have had an interesting few months, there’s been plenty of ups and tons of downs, but me and Jamie are finally getting ourselves back to normality in our new place. In the past 9 months I have moved house 3 times and had 2 new jobs, not to mention some pretty difficult situations in general, including very recently developing severe back pain. Me and Jamie have stuck together through out though, and come out stronger than ever.

Because of all these changes and stresses, I have been unable to focus on my artwork, which resulted in a creative block that I have really struggled to get out of. I miss being able to sit at my own art space and create something fresh and new, so I have decided to dedicate this year to get back on track, set up a new art space and get stuck in with some new paintings!

Although I have attracted a lot of followers online, I would love to be able to do more Craft fairs this year. Jamie passed his test last year and I intend to take advantage of the easy transport to do some craft fairs over the Spring and Summer in the local area!

I have missed interacting with my fans, and seeing all the amazing artwork you all create too, so I am looking forward to getting re-united and involved!

Looking for Inspiration.

For the past two months I have been unable to focus on my artwork. This is due to many changes in my life that has just caused my creativity to become non existent. I’ve moved house, I’ve changed jobs, and I’ve had some other stressful things happen in between.

I’ve been looking through my doodle a day drawings this evening to try and get some inspiration to try and get myself back into my artwork as I have missed blogging and creating so much!

Here are a couple of my favourite ‘doodle a days’ from back in 09/10 before I started Cally’s Creations, but you can see more on my Facebook page.

Hopefully I can try to get back into the swing of things by doing some scrap booking and rough doodling! Fingers crossed! x

It’s been a while!

Hey everyone!
It’s been so long since I made my last blog post but a lot of things have changed in the past couple of weeks I’m surprised I’ve kept up myself! Me and Jamie have decided to move back ‘home’ so he can pass his driving test and get a car, and so we can save a little money to enjoy ourselves while we’re still young! It was a very hasty decision but one we’re really looking forward to. We have been non stop packing and organizing for the move which will be happening the weekend so I haven’t had much time to create. However, my head has been bursting with ideas and I can’t wait to settle in and start mapping all my ideas out. Fortunately I have a week off work next week to do this, as well as get ready for the Craft Fair I will be doing on the 19th of May in Stourbridge.

Other than packing, I have made progress with my reading challenge. My challenge was to read 100 books this year, and although I started a month and a half late I have managed 27 so far. I am currently reading a book called Heartsick by Chelsea Cain.

….I also managed to do this one painting, which will be up for sale as soon as it gets varnished! It is called ‘Floral Fusion’

Hopefully I can start regularly posting again in a few days time, once everything has been sorted out!

~ Latest Paintings ~

I have been very busy today! After my long stretch of creative block I finally think I am getting out of it. I have painted a 16×16 inch canvas board that I textured a long, long time ago, and 2 9×11 inch thin canvases.

These two are textured with modelling paste and painted in acrylic and emulsion paints. All they need is a varnish and they’re finished! I have called them Twilight Blooms.

This is the painting I did on the canvas board (well, most of it!) I have painted two fairies in a flower garden. I am not yet sure what to call this piece.

They will be available to buy within the next couple of days! Now my mind has had a rest I hope to create a lot more pieces in the near future!

Flowers of Spring and Love; Painted bowl project

Last week I decided to start a project of painting up an old wooden bowl that was in our Shed, that my Dad gave to us before Christmas. The bowl is approximately 44cm in diameter. I began by painting vibrant shades of blues and green for the sky and grass.

I then started painting flowers of all colours and sizes on the grass and in the sky…

….And this is the final piece. I have yet to varnish it, however I have painted the back of the bowl a bright fuchsia pink and signed it. This piece of artwork, painted on a wooden bowl will be up for sale within the next couple of days on my Etsy page.

A close up for the flowers…

I have enjoyed doing this painting as it is the first for a while without feeling under pressure to create. I have a couple of new canvases I am hoping to do similar pieces on in the next few days!
