‘I Don’t Know’ Blank Note Card

I have just listed my third blank note card on Etsy, which is a print of my original ‘I don’t know’ painting (below.) The note card is approximately 6×4 inches and comes in a protective plastic seal bag and a white envelope. It is blank inside for your own personal message. It can be used for any special occasion ~ birthdays, thank you notes, anything you wish!

The original painting was on canvas board 5×7 inches textured with musical note paper and Shakespearean paper, and painted in acrylic and emulsion paints.

You can visit my Etsy viewing my clicking on either picture!

Etsy Treasury; Pretty Pink Haze

Today’s treasury was inspired by one of my own original canvas paintings called ‘Pretty Pink Haze.’ I wanted to do yet another colourful treasury, and include all items from the Promote Creative Friends team again. My personal favourite item out of all these ones are the Valentines vintage mini cards by SandrasCardShop.

This is the painting of mine that inspired me to do this treasury:

In Bloom…. original canvas painting

My newest piece of art, In bloom, inspired by the approaching Spring. There’s nothing better than painting warm Spring/Summer scenes in the middle of Winter. I have textured the 12×12 inch canvas with ripped paper, card, butterfly and flower stencils for a rough effect. I have also textured the flowers with paper and string, to spring them out of the canvas slightly.

All I need to do is varnish this piece, and it will be available for sale in my Etsy shop.

Textured Canvas Boards

When I am using canvas board, I start off by texturing it with all sorts of ripped card, paper and stencil, sticking them down with PVA glue and water. Usually I use musical note paper, and pages out of old Shakespearean texts such as Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Another texturing effect that works brilliantly is tissue paper. The reason I use different types of paper and card is to enhance the board, so not only are two boards the same but it gives my paintings a great ‘rough’ look.

I have not yet decided what to paint on this 16×16 inch textured board…. but will definitely be posting the results when I do!
