Hi all! I have been really busy the last couple of days making products to go in a new shop opening in Wolverhampton called The Shop in the Square. It is a new shop opening on Saturday 22nd of June selling handmade items from local start up businesses.

I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to have some of my creations in this shop amongst many other wonderful artists and crafters. I will be selling mini canvases, paper flower cards, paper flower magnets and gift tags. Here are a couple of my items going on sale Saturday:

Hey everyone! Lately I have been working a lot on my artwork. Unfortunately I have been off work due to sever back pain, so I have been using my artwork to take my mind off the pain and create some new work! It can be very difficult taking my mind off the pain and how bad it can really get, and I don’t know what I would do without my artwork.

This is the finished piece of ‘In Bloom’ my newest mixed media canvas painting. I have varnished it with a glossy, protective finish and painted the canvas edges black to compliment the outlines of the butterfly and the flowers. This piece is inspired by Spring, and is certainly cheering me up in this awful cold weather! I just cannot wait for Spring to come!

I have just listed this pair of original textured paintings on card on Etsy. I have textured 2 6×4 inch pieces of card with musical note paper and painted them in emulsion and acrylic paints. My newest piece of art, In bloom, inspired by the approaching Spring. There’s nothing better than painting warm Spring/Summer scenes in the middle of Winter. I have textured the 12×12 inch canvas with ripped paper, card, butterfly and flower stencils for a rough effect. I have also textured the flowers with paper and string, to spring them out of the canvas slightly.
All I need to do is varnish this piece, and it will be available for sale in my Etsy shop.
